Polaria, the Navigator

"An explorer like her mother in the seas of Mewni ventured,
In navigations that by the Star of the Queen were guided."

Her name is a reference to the North Star, commonly used by navigators. The wand, a trident (I need to explain?).

Cosmica the Explorer's daughter, she was the first queen to sail the Mewni sea, which is at the end of the river arm that surrounds the kingdom. As a child, she was an admirer of the adventures of her mother, with whom she even ventured into some, and unconditional lover of the Mewni sea and its mysteries. During her expeditions, she learned to use the stars as a means of navigation, especially the "star of the queen"(equivalent to "Polar Star" in Earth); Discovered and found several unknown aquatic species; And say that she even learned the magic song of the mermaids, but there is no evidence of that. It was years of navigation and discovery that lasted until the day when her love ceased to be by the sea ... the day she became a mother.

Meteora - The Relentless

Her look was inspired by the Vikings (who had no horns in their helmets). Her cheekmarks are fireballs. Her name comes from greek metéora (literally"middle of the sky") and alludes to "meteors".

Helia's granddaughter and Eclipsa's grandmother, was the fourth most obscure era queen in Mewni's history: the "Dark Age," or the "Long Night". She was riding the warnicorn "Iron Hoofs". She was an incredible warrior. Severe and rigid, any monster that dared to approach Mewni was personally hunted by her; her title of "the Relentless" is not for nothing.

Vesper, the Morning Star

"During the hard years of darkness,
When the scarce hope is already far
The evening star will be revealed
Like the brightest morning star."

Her name is a reference to Vesper Star, the planet Venus seen before sunset. Their cheekmarks are an eight-pointed star (a circle surrounded by eight rays). The image of the tapestry is symbolic, Vesper opening the cloudy sky to the sunlight represented her bringing the light of hope back after a period of darkness.

When Vesper was born, her mother, Heaven knew from the wand that she would be a Star Queen. But even though it was known that the star queens were omens of major changes, Heaven did not believe that his daughter was capable of taking Mewni out of the Dark Ages. So instead of naming her as a morning star, she named her as a evening star. Vesper grew up with this suspicion, and when her mother died, she had to deal not only with a throne that had long been called cursed, but with the negative image her family had been carrying from Venus. Vesper began to change the image of the Butterfly House marrying at age 15, freeing the family from the "libertine" fame left by Venus. She reopened the gateways to Mewni Castle, which had been closed by her mother, Heaven. She financially encouraged musicians and artists so that the sadness did not reach the kingdom as during the rule of Luna. However, her biggest accomplishment was to implant the changes that Celestia the Queen of Winter never had the courage to deploy. Among them: he created the Mewni Bank and a new currency, reorganized Mewnian education, drafted a new civil code of laws, opened military training for the poorest, and established new interdimensional agreements.

Vesper would remain forever marked in Mewni's history as the suspicious queen who took the kingdom from the Dark Ages, the Morning Star.  The name of her family had taken up respect and admiration. Not even the greatest war against the monsters since Mewnipendence War at the end of her rule has ruined everything, because her successor would take care of this problem... Her daughter? Solaria the Monster Carver.

Galaxia, the Clairvoyant

"Preventing wars and diseases foreseeing the future
This was the power of the queen of unique nature".

Her wand is a glass globe. Yes, she has white hair, but no, she isn't old.

Soupina the Strange's daughter, Galaxia was born with a rare character among the mewmans: albinism. She was seen with judgmental eyes because of her peculiar appearance, becoming known as "the strange princess of the strange queen". When he inherited his wand, Galaxia proceeded to study the time spells of his grandmother Skywynne, the Queens of Hours. These studies led her to conjure up spells that allowed her to see the past and especially the future. Thanks to these spells, Galaxia predicted wars, battles, epidemics and various other tragedies before they could happen. This made the judgmental eyes turn to respect and admiration for the queen. Her last forecast with the wand was that "bad times were on the way, as if the winds of a winter storm began to bother the little spark of a fireplace". She would give birth to a Star Queen: Venus the Fairest, that would give beginning to the Dark Ages.

Note: There is a belief in Mewni that all the colors missing from Galaxia were passed directly to her daughter Venus.

Hesperia, the Singer of Dusk

Her name is a reference to the Hesperides, Greek goddesses of the evening and guardians of the Garden of the Hesperides. Her wand supports a lyre. Her cheekmarks are "C-Clefs", usually used in sheet music for human voices.

Solaria's daughter, she was expected to be a great warrior like her mother. However, as a child, she was found to be the owner of a beautiful and melodic voice. She grew up, and her talent as well. She was able to orchestrate nature to produce music, accelerating the growth of plants, gardens and corn. Mewni stopped to listen to the songs of his queen. She was the creator of the sung spells. She wrote songs that would be eternalized in Mewni's culture and poems about the old queens, which generations later, would accompany the work of Sky the Weaver. It is said that it is possible to hear her singing on the cornfields during the sunset.

Venus, the Fairest

"The proof that beauty can be a curse,
In the face of Venus the Fairest, lies its source."

Based on the beauty and love goddess Aphrodite, whose Roman version is Venus (the morning star), which makes her a Star Queen. The wand is a conception of two symbols related to the goddess: the "apple of discord", which bore the inscription "to the fairest". And the mirror of Venus (symbol of the feminine).

Venus Butterfly was born with a special ability: she could change the color of her eyes and hair according to the idea of perfect beauty of those who looked at her. Even during childhood, she had already received marriage proposals from several lords suitors. On her 14th birthday, a young lord she despised attempted to approach. Venus, tired of him, said that she would only give him a chance the day she returned with a rainbow flower, a rare flower of a distant and hidden dimension, thus an impossible task. Unsure of what she saw, Venus consulted the mirror ... which showed her for the first time someone who truly loved her. They would marry a year later, and from that union, the only daughter of Venus would be born ... Helia, the Light of Power.

Etheria, the Knight

"The sweet princess trained for queen and knight,
decreed that henceforth her family would learn to fight".

Etheria was the 2nd Queen of Day.

Her name is reference to the Greek primordial god Aether, the "upper and bright air" (which can be interpreted as "light"), and brother and partner of Hemera (the Day). Her cheekmarks are the fleur-de-lis, and the wand, a holt of sword.

During her childhood, Etheria always showed admiration of the knights, as many of their stories as their fighting skills. After much insistence, his mother Asteria allowed her to become a squire. Years passed and Etheria became the first queen trained in the arts of chivalry. She was accompanied by seven knights who formed the Queen's Swords. There were four boys and three girls who had been training with her since childhood. And despite knowing how to fight and how to use a sword, Etheria was a sweet, loving, delicate woman. Looking at her, anyone would think she would be no more than a defenseless woman ... bad luck to anyone who discovered otherwise.  When her daughter Febe was old enough, Etheria put her to train with the royal guard just as her mother had done with her. She decreed that since then, all princesses should be trained to fight from children... and this tradition continues to this day.

The queen's guard was inspired by the "super sentai" (more specifically, the Power Rangers).

Despite not liking violence, Etheria is one of Aurora's favorite queens.

Heaven, the Scared

"A scared and lost child, found in the forest her jail.
Only a flame that does not go out to illuminate her dark trail."

Also known as "The Princess Who Got Lost". The picture of the tapestry is merely illustrative. Heaven had not inherited a wand yet when it was lost.

Her cheekmarks, the teardrops, are an inheritance of the sadness of her mother, Luna, who never surpassed her mother abandonment. The wand, a lantern to always lighten her path and never get lost again.

Heaven came into the world carrying teardrops on her cheeks, a memory of how much sorrow had plagued her mother's life. She was one of the few things in life that made Luna smile. She had the habit of hiding from her parents and the royal guard for fun. But one day, she resolved to hide in the Forest of the Certain Death. The nine-year-old knew that to find her way back, she just had to follow the trail. But what she did not expect was to be attacked by a giant spider. Heaven fled, and was only saved by a carnivorous plant that devoured the spider. Heaven tried to return to the castle, but she could not find the trail, and the retreated trees like claws blocked the sky above her head. For five days and nights, Heaven wandered frightened and aimlessly through the gloomy forest, when she was finally found by one of the guard's knights. However, what came back was not a happy, playful little girl, but a frightened and traumatized girl. Heaven would never leave the castle thereafter, keeping "secure" between the walls of the fortress of Mewni.

Asteria, the Mother of Stars

"With great heart, were adopted by the young queen mother
more than three thousand sisters for her only daughter".

]Her name comes from the Greek goddess Asteria, who in Greek literally translates as "star." She was the 2nd Star Queen. Her cheekmarks are an inverted star, the opposite of her ancestor, Estelaria the First Star, As well as the design of her wand.

Based on the annotations of the queens Cosmica and Polaria, studied the movement of the stars in the sky, cataloging and grouping them into constellations. She designed the astronomical map of Mewni, which is used to this day, and named each of the constellations, which she treated as if they were her adoptive daughters. Because of this she would be known as "The Mother of Stars".

Daughter of one of the main queens who has passed through Mewni, Lunaria the Harvest Moon, Asteria had always been in love with the stars. Every night, before bed, she climbed the rooftops of the tower to admire them. She was a sweet and loving girl, who grew up and became a sweet and loving woman. Asteria married young and was one of the youngest mothers of royalty, both at age 16. That's because Asteria wanted to have lots of kids. However, fate would not be complacent. After giving birth to her first heiress, an illness made her unable to have more children. But Asteria did not plunge into sadness and depression, instead she directed all the love she had for the two things she loved most: Her constellation map studies and her most valuable treasure, which she loved more than anything, her only daughter Etheria.

Hemera, The Builder

Her name comes from the Greek Primordial Goddess of the Day, Hemera ("day" in Greek).

Her look is inspired by the Egyptian queen, Cleopatra. The wand is inspired by the "ankh", the symbol of life in Egyptian hieroglyphic writing. Her cheekcheeks are triangles, symbolizing pyramids. Her Egyptian theme is due to the fact that it is the "builder" of Mewni Castle, an allusion to the Egyptians to build the Pyramids of Giza.

Brief history: The fourth queen of Mewni was responsible for finalizing the work of her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Only when the castle was ready did she follow up on the Butterfly generation. All secrets, tunnels, rooms and secret passages ... there was not a millimeter in that castle she did not know.

Sky, The Weaver

Her cheekmarks are inverted spades.

The talent that his mother, Diana, had for hunting, Sky Butterfly had for the weaving. Her agile fingers brought delicacy and precision to the embroideries never seen before. Since she was a child, she used to weave her own clothes, and her own daughters later. She became known as a sweet and beloved queen, although she was not a mother so present to her daughters. And this, ended up causing problems...

Hekatia, the Necromancer

Her name comes from Hecate, greek goddess associated with crossroads, magic, witchcraft, knowledge of poisonous herbs and plants, ghosts, necromancy and sorcery. Her wand is a torch, something that the goddess carries in her representations. Their cheekmarks are the three faced moon.

Meteora's daughter and Eclipsa's Mother, she became known for going too far in her studies on dark magic. It is believed that she had learned how to communicate with the dead, control them, and even reverse death! However, it will never be known whether or not it is true because it has tried to destroy all the pages of the book about its discoveries. When questioned about, all she said was:
"There are things that should remain misunderstood."

Disturbing remark: She is not alone in this tapestry.

Estelaria, the First Star

"After a long night, always before sunrise,
a single star gleams. This is the legacy of the Stars Queens".

Daughter of Bunny the Dancer, she was the first Star Queen of the Butterfly family. Her cheerful and jovial personality was as sparkling as the thousand stars that shone in her purple hair. She was one of the first to learn how to read the stars to predict the future. Through it, she predicted her pregnancy from Hemera. Through it, she foresaw her pregnancy of Hemera and, with that, discovered what would come to be known as Estelaria's Legacy, which says: "...a Star Queen opens an era, followed by a Queen of the Day, after a period of several Queens of the Night."

Celestia, Queen of Winter

"One wrong spell, brought an endless snow
and the queen's merry heart froze with guilt and sorrow"

Helia's daughter, the Light of Power, was a playful and happy child. When she inherited the magic wand, she endeavored to learn that one day she would become as powerful as her mother. After being crowned queen, Celestia, in order to accelerate and increase the corn production of the kingdom, ended up misreading the spell, throwing Mewni in an endless snowy winter.

According to Glossaryck, the spell would be reversed when the bell of his wand was touched. But she could never make the bell ring. The years passed, and the cheerful and sparkling little girl was now a sad queen with heart frozen by guilt. It was decades without harvest and lack of food, which almost brought the kingdom to ruin. After years of difficulty, Celestia's bell finally rang ... on the day her daughter, Meteora, turned fourteen.

Febe, the Red One

Its name comes from "Phoebe," a moon-related titan in Greek mythology.

From the hair to the eyes to the clothes, red was her color.
Her king called her "Red Moon."

"Our souls are bound," he used to say. It was also the last words she heard before losing him in a battle against a demon.

Nobody knows the truth. Some believe that the Bloody Moon is just a tribute to their beloved. Others, that this is a Love Spell.

Luna, the Child

Her name comes from the Roman equivalent of Selene (the Moon Goddess), Luna.

Your wand has the shape of a rattle. Her dress has the look of a down head rose.

She had to assume the throne still very young. She had an unhappy childhood after being abandoned by her mother, returning to smile only years later when she became a mother. The wand was the only one memory she had of her mother.

Her mother? Maybe... Eclipsa, the Queen of Darkness?!

Diana, The Huntress

Based on Diana (Roman equivalent of Artemis), the Olympian goddess of the moon and the hunt.

Her wand is a winged bow riser. A lover of nature, Diana preferred to spend time hunting in the woods of Mewni than sitting on the throne. She has a pinetree as cheekmarks, her crown is a tiara with small deer antlers and light green hair ornamented with flowers and fastened by ribbons.

Next to the Star's generation. Maybe, Celena's mother or daughter.

Aurora, The Queen of Dawn

Her name comes from Aurora (Roman equivalent of Eos, Greek goddess of the dawn).

She is the one who opens the passage for sun rise after the night cycle.

Her wand is similar to her mother's, but in orange tones. Features a sun surrounded by stars in a dark blue sky.

Her look is inspired by her mother's clothes, with a bit of mexican patterns ... inspired by her father. A rising sun is stamped on her dress.

She is the first half-mewman to become queen.

Helia, The Light of Power

Her name comes from Helius, the Greek Sun God.

Helia was the most powerful of the Butterfly queens. Versatile in magic, there was no spell she could not conjure, especially Bright Magic. She had been compulsively studying magic since childhood.

Her title, "The Light of Power," is a reference to the fact that she "dip down" with extreme ease. She used her wand for the last time at sixteen, while still was a princess. Since then, she has no need to use her to perform spells. She wore it only as a crown, until the day her daughter inherited it.

Her appearance was inspired by Galadriel's "Lord of the Rings".

The absolute opposite of Eclipsa, Queen of Darkness.

Urania, The First One

Her cheekmarks gave the name of her family.
